Nearly 30 years of hands-on experience in international development, translated into five core areas of consulting, training, and evaluation work.
Support for organisations designing systems that measure progress and success — or failure — of development programmes. This includes indicator frameworks and simple, innovative data collection and analysis approaches.
M&EAs a facilitator or lead expert, I support and guide any stage in the planning process: from a thorough problem analysis to a Theory of Change — and, based on that, a Results and Monitoring Framework with carefully designed indicators.
PlanningI carry out or provide quality assurance for outcome evaluations — focusing on actual results for the people who are expected to change behaviour or performance as a result of an intervention.
EvaluationIn a digital world, results need to be communicated differently. I support clients in finding effective and innovative ways to get their message across — including infographics and micro-content for social networks.
CommunicationFor nearly 30 years I have developed manuals, how-to guides, and Standard Operating Procedures for UNDP, UNICEF, and UN Women — including an online M&E crash course on Udemy with over 8,000 participants. I also deliver on-site and online training and workshops on planning, monitoring, and reporting on results.
