Monitoring & Evaluation is a key element of managing time-bound excercises with a goal in mind. My specific area of interest is to look at monitoring & evaluation for development. However, most concepts used in the development business converge more and more with practices and new techniques from business management.

Nationalism

The nation state is the key element of today's societies in the western world. Nationalism is the ideology to bring a (perceived) nation together in one nation state.

Happiness research

It is astonishing that happiness - perceived by many people and societies as the ultimate goal for groups and individuals - is only now emerging as a serious field for research. My particular interest is in the linkage between happiness and the development of societies.
